Terms and Conditions
1. Interpretation and variation
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:
- “Become Yourself”, “We”, “Us” means the business Partnership Become Yourself
- “Partners” means Dr George Hibbert and Ms Emma Templeton
- “Therapist” means any person who is a Partner or Therapist of Become Yourself and is listed on the Website
- “Services” means all assessment and therapeutic activities arranged and/or provided by Become Yourself
- “Client” means any person who has booked an Appointment or made an enquiry on the site about using our Services
- “Appointment” means an arrangement for a Session made between a Client and a Therapist of Become Yourself
- “Session” means an arranged Session between a Therapist and Client of Become Yourself
- “Terms and Conditions” are as defined here
- “Website”, “Site” means the becomeyourself.co.uk Website
These definitions apply with the same meaning to Become Yourself’s Privacy and Cookie Policies and to the Client Consent Form.
2. Clients
2.1 General
2.1.1 The Client must read and accept our Terms and Conditions. Clients breaching our Terms and Conditions could be excluded from the use of our Services.
2.1.2 These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Become Yourself Consent Form.
2.1.3 In order to receive any of our Services, the Client must have read, signed and abided by the Become Yourself Consent Form.
2.1.4 Become Yourself takes no responsibility for outcomes of therapeutic Sessions.
2.2 Fees
2.2.1 Fees will be charged by and payable to Become Yourself according to the fee schedule in place at the time an Appointment is made.
2.2.2 Payment for a Session must be made at least 48 hours before the Appointment takes place. If payment has not been received by the required time, the Therapist, at their discretion, may not go ahead with the Session.
2.2.3 Cancellation must be made at least 2 working days before the Appointment is due to take place. Failure to do this will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
2.2.4 Subject to any statutory right of cancellation and paragraphs 3.2 and 3.3 above, payments for Sessions are non‐refundable.
3. Use of our website
3.1 We try to update our site regularly, so We may have to suspend access, service or functionality from time to time, without notice. If required, We may have to close our site for a period of time or indefinitely. We will not be liable if, for any reason, our site is unavailable at any time or for any period of time.
3.2 Users of our Website must:
3.2.1 Agree to seek our written permission if they wish to link to our Website or copy our content in any way.
3.2.2 Agree to allow Us unlimited, royalty free use of any material they provide for our Website.
3.2.3 Agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify or re-‐post our content on another site, frame or mirror our site or link to our site without our prior written consent.
3.2.4 Grant to Us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use (including but not limited to publishing, exploiting and modifying) any material they email, post or submit to us. For the avoidance of doubt, We will be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, content, text or images contained in their communications with Us for any purpose whatsoever, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3.2.5 Agree not to do anything that does or may interfere with the proper working of the site including, but not limited to, tampering with, or hacking into the site or the servers on which it resides.
4. Disclaimer
4.1 Become Yourself reserves the right to vary or revoke any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time which it may consider necessary or suitable for the regulation of the Website and the conduct of Partners, Therapists and Clients.
4.2 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
5. Therapists
5.1 General
5.1.1 Acceptance of a person as a Therapist is at the discretion of the Partners of Become Yourself.
5.1.2 Therapists are self employed and must have appropriate and up to date indemnity for their work with Clients of Become Yourself
5.1.3 Therapists agree to make Appointments and charge fees for Clients of Become Yourself solely through Become Yourself’s Services. The Therapist will not take Clients of Become Yourself away from Become Yourself’s Services. If this practice is found to have taken place it will result in immediate suspension of the Therapist and might incur a fee.
5.1.4 Therapists must act at all times in a professional manner towards Clients. Any behaviour deemed by the Partners to be unacceptable or inappropriate towards Clients will be addressed by the Partners as a high priority. The Partners reserve the right to withdraw or suspend any Therapist from providing Services to Clients of Become Yourself if they consider it necessary.
5.1.5 Therapists must not engage in any outside activity which could be considered detrimental to Become Yourself’s reputation or bring Become Yourself into disrepute. Become Yourself reserves the right to suspend any Therapist whose conduct is, or may be deemed to be, in Become Yourself’s reasonable opinion, damaging to Become Yourself, amounts to a breach of these Terms and Conditions or where such suspension is considered in the interests of the other Therapists of Become Yourself.
5.2 Services, fees and conditions
5.2.1 Become Yourself will assign the Client to the Therapist(s) they believe is/are most suited to the Client’s needs based on the information they have provided.
5.2.2 Become Yourself will charge fees according to the Become Yourself fee structure current at the time the Appointment is made.
5.2.3 The Client will make payments to Become Yourself. Therapists invoice Become Yourself at the end of each month for the previous month’s Appointments. Fees will be paid to Therapists net of Become Yourself’s service charges.
5.2.4 Therapists’ diaries must be kept up to date to enable Clients to book their Appointments online.
5.2.5 The Therapist should confirm to the Client how the Session will be carried out, for example by video link, telephone or in person, and send any details required. .
5.2.6 The Therapist is responsible for attending Appointments on time. Should a Therapist not attend a scheduled Appointment, the Therapist must reschedule the Appointment in the same week.
5.2.7 The Therapist will sometimes be asked to provide an article or video on social media.
